Purpose with arrangement - Scientific outcome
Arrangements, that Lilly organize or participate in, should have a profession improvement alignment. The purpose being the treatment of one or several medical or scientific issues within one or several scientific areas.
Condition for participation
There are 2 conditions for participation:
(I) You must fulfill Lilly's specific requirements for participation
(II) There are places available for you to attend
Co-traveler
The arrangement is only for the invited healthcare professionals. No uninvited guests will be allowed to participate in the arrangement. We assume that attendees will not bring any guests to the arrangement
Compensation of expenses
Lilly will not pay mileage compensation nor cover for any costs regarding taxi; parking or other extra costs prior the meeting. Discrepancy from this rule will only be considered, when there is no other alternative travel possible. If contracted by Lilly as an investigator/speaker/lecturer etc. all additional travel arrangement must be booked by Lilly.
Lilly will not reimburse any costs arranged and paid for by the guest/investigator/speaker themselves.
Lilly will not pay for any courses or other costs that is not included in the congress fee.
Meals and social arrangement
No social arrangements will be organized, covered or in any other way supported by Lilly. Lilly will cover beverages in connection with meals etc.
Travel schedule and flight class
Depending on the location of the arrangement Lilly will book group travel or individual travel. In case of group travel these will be booked on the condition that the participant is included in Lilly's group travel arrangement.
Lilly always book travel in alignment with to the arrangement. Any deviational requests for discrepancy from Lilly's group travel schedule are not allowed. All travels are booked in economy class.
Tickets
Within arrangements where travel will be booked, all tickets will be submitted from the responsible Lilly representative at least two weeks prior to the arrangement.
Cancellation
Cancellation can happen 60 days before the arrangement take place. Or at least 1 week after having received a confirmation (in those cases confirmations received within 60 days before arrangement take place) no payment will be required.
At international arrangements:
(I) Cancellation 60-31 days before departure the participant will pay NOK 1,000.00
(II) Cancellation 30 days or less before departure the participant will pay NOK 2,500.00
At national arrangements which includes travel and/or accommodation:
(I) Cancellation 31 days before arrangement takes place no payment will be required.
(II) Cancellation 30 days or less before arrangement takes place the participant will pay NOK 1,000.00
(III) In case of no-show at the arrangement and where no cancellation has been registered, Lilly will invoice the participant an administration fee of NOK 1,000.00
When cancellation is caused by sickness there will not be an administrative cost if a medical certificate is issued to the travel agency within 14 days of cancellation.
Travel insurance
All participants will be covered by travel insurance with Europeiske Reiseforsikring, paid for by Lilly. Please direct any questions to your Lilly contact person.
